Boveda humidity regulator - replacements

Boveda is not a humidifier or desiccant, it is a true bi-directional humidity control system

The Boveda pack consists of salt, water and a gel solution contained within a water vapor permeable membrane. Inside a closed environment, Boveda maintains a certain level of relative humidity either by releasing or absorbing water vapor and eliminating all possible fluctuations in humidity, ensuring the well-being of your instrument.

  • Options normal size:

  • Boveda 49% - pack of 4 units

The Standard Wooden Musical Instrument Package is designed to maintain a relative humidity of 49%. Weight: 70 grams.

  • Boveda 49% HA High-Absorbency- pack of 4 units

The 49% HA High Absorption variant is designed for humid climates that maintain a high relative humidity, above 50%. Weight: 40 grams.

  • Boveda 72% - pack of 4 units

Designed to seasoning wooden cases. Weight: 60 grams.

Most wooden instrument cases have twice as much wood as the instrument itself. All that wood must be moistened, so it is recommended to use it for 7-10 days before placing Boveda 49%.

  • Options size 8 (mini):

Size 8: 7 cm x 6.35 cm

  • Boveda 49%

For bows.

  • Boveda 72% and 84%

For reeds of (single and double reeds) clarinets, saxophones, oboes, bassoons.

Specs:

  • Insert the replacement Boveda pack into the Boveda fabric holder (included in the Starter Kit and also available separately). Then slide it in and/or around the instrument and close the case. Then Boveda automatically adds and/or absorbs the moisture around the wooden instrument.
  • It achieves and maintains a constant relative humidity (RH) range of 45% to 55%, the safe zone for wooden instruments. It uses only pure water and natural salts sealed inside a leak-proof membrane.
  • Recommended for most climates. Boveda HA High Absorption is available separately for high humidity climates.
  • Maintenance-free for months: Initially, Boveda has a make-up job to do, so your first Boveda won't last as long as subsequent ones. After your first series, Boveda will last for 2-6 months depending on the time of year, your climate and your case. A simple touch test will let you know when it's time to replace the Boveda: it will feel crisp and stiff. When Boveda 49% HA is fully expanded, it's time to replace it.
